Alex

Alex Shebar is constantly reminded that he is an American. Of course, this is what happens when you move to London but haven't quite given up the accent (he does spell "favourite" with a 'u' and say, "rubbish," though.)

Born in Boston, and Yelp's former Community Manager of Cincinnati, he emigrated to The Old Smoke in 2012 and never looked back.

Alex now enjoys bad films, strong gin and a brightly coloured Instagram account. Hopefully you enjoy his posts about London and around the world (or at least, those previously mentioned brightly coloured photos.)

Taste The Midwest with TILL Vodka

I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #PrideDistilled campaign, sponsored by TILL Vodka. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own. I travel. Brunching at Fonda San Miguel

Upscale Mexican brunch you say? Consider me intrigued. I do love brunch, oh how I love brunch. Sunday morning lazy sleepy and a little bit drunk brunch. You are singing my song and that song is called, “I love brunch.” Now, you must note, I am not biased against any type of brunch. In fact, I am excited about brunches in all forms. So when …

Here’s another that I really like that I got …

The Best of ATX with Austin Monthly

It’s hard to declare anything the best of anything. Oh, if you ever want to have an argument, you should give it a go. Declare something the “best” to someone else: The “best” TV show or the “best” burger or the “best” time ever. Watch them scrunch up their face and get ready for an argument. “Best” is such a subjective statement since everyone’s “best” …

Isn’t it nice to eat in a garden? Isn’t it awful to be eaten by bugs and suffer 100 degree slowly melt the top of your head heat as you try to eat in a garden. Well, I got to experience the nearly-next best thing the other day: a happy hour in Walton’s Fancy & Staple. WALTON’S WHAT NOW? Why, Walton’s Fancy & Staple of …
